The hook is forged from hardened and tempered alloy steel for exceptional strength, while the yellow painted and hot‑dip‑galvanized finish provides excellent corrosion resistance and high visibility.

Clear markings identify the model, size, grade, country of origin, and traceability code. The hook complies with NS‑EN 1677‑3 and is type approved under DNVGL‑ST‑0377 and DNVGL‑ST‑0378. It also meets DNV 2.7‑1:2013, DNVGL‑ST‑0377:2016, DNVGL‑ST‑0388:2016 and NORSOK R‑002:2017 standards.

Double latch – engineered for offshore impact conditions

Because vessel movement and wave impacts during offshore loading and unloading can cause a standard latch to open unintentionally while unloaded, the BKLK Offshore HDG is equipped with a double latch system. This secondary latch ensures the load remains retained even if the hook is struck, providing critical safety in rough sea conditions.

Each hook is fatigue tested and proof load tested to 2.5 × WLL, with full traceability back to the raw material.
