This retaining clip is designed as a stronger and more reliable alternative to older lock pins and firing pins used in Halkey Roberts inflators. It improves durability and functional reliability in critical lifejacket applications.

The Standard Retaining Clip is used as a replacement for the V85006 lock pin on Halkey Roberts 840 and V85000 inflators. It can also be used instead of the older style firing pin, which was found to be insufficiently robust.
Compared to traditional firing pins, the retaining clip offers improved mechanical strength and reliability. While it is not as widely available as more modern inflator clips, it remains a dependable solution for compatible lifejacket inflator systems.
