Welding Electrode - ESAB OK 48.04

ESAB OK 48.04 is a basic all-current low-hydrogen electrode providing high weld quality and excellent mechanical properties. It is particularly suitable for demanding structures where high stresses cannot be avoided and performs reliably in all welding positions.

ESAB OK 48.04 is a basic low-hydrogen SMAW electrode designed for welding unalloyed and micro-alloyed carbon manganese steels. The electrode provides a stable arc, good weld pool control and weld metal with high strength and outstanding impact toughness, even at low temperatures.

It is recommended for structural applications with high mechanical requirements and difficult stress conditions. OK 48.04 can be used with both AC and DC current and performs well in all welding positions, especially vertical and overhead.
