Sourcing

At John Dahle Skipshandel we source a vast amount of products and services for our customers and with many years of experience we have substantial knowledge of multiple product groups and markets.

All the years with sourcing goods has also provided us with a large amount of suppliers within many fields of products and services. Every day we deliver sourced products to our customers specific needs. This applies to both sourcing products or services within or outside our product groups. What we source can be standard products, special products or alternatives with shorter lead time. We try to deliver complete packages of goods to our customers requests or projects.

Explanation of sourcing:

• Customer sends us a request with all products they need and deadline for when they need it.
• Our experienced sales and purchasing team source the products at current or new suppliers and creates a quote for our customer.
• Customer reviews and sends a purchase order to us if they accept the quote.
• We order in all the products according to the purchase order and deliver to our customer.

Throughout the years of sourcing products we have established a supplier database of many thousand suppliers. Our product categories have also expanded over the years as we have sourced within the same categories multiple times for different customers. If a product or category is sourced multiple times for multiple customers we often start stocking it. This is beneficial both for us and our customers.
