Zinc hull anode for welding, NORSOK

Weld-on zinc anode manufactured in accordance with NORSOK specification for corrosion protection of ship hulls and marine steel structures in seawater. The anode is supplied with a painted base surface to protect the underside prior to installation.

Zinc is particularly suitable for seawater applications due to its low driving potential against steel, which minimizes the risk of damage to most coating systems. Its current output varies with demand, making the anode partially self-regulating. Zinc anodes do not normally evolve hydrogen and do not pose a risk of thermite sparking.

The anode contributes to extended service life and reduced maintenance requirements.
