The “Bennebjørn” Lever‑Type Load Binder is a heavy‑duty manual chain tensioning tool designed for safe and efficient tightening of transport chains during road transport. Built from forged steel with a durable red powder‑coated surface, it provides secure engagement through sturdy forged grab hooks on both ends.
Ball‑and‑socket swivel joints ensure straight‑line pulling and improved handling. Its quick‑action lever (snap) design allows faster tensioning and release compared to ratchet binders, making it a preferred choice among experienced flatbed operators.
Manufactured in Grade 8 material, the binder is designed for load restraint with transport chain (not for lifting). Available for standard chain sizes from 1/4" to 1/2", depending on the model.
Safety Tip: Always ensure the handle is fully locked over‑center and secured with the slack end of the chain or a safety wire to prevent accidental opening during transport.
