HMPE-fibre rope - Acera Amundsen, 12-braided and 16-braided

Acera is our stock "high-performance" rope, made from HMPE fiber. HMPE stands for high-modulus polyethylene. It is highly resistant to chemicals, except for oxidizing acids such as hydrochloric acid, nitric acid, and sulfuric acid. It is extremely abrasion-resistant—up to 15 times stronger than carbon steel in some forms. It is as strong as steel rope, yet easy to handle. Due to its low weight, it is also easy to transport. We produce slings, lengths with eyes, and thimbles with MBL up to 700 tons / WLL 100 tons in our rope workshop. We can also supply more complex products produced by our partner TIMM in Slovakia. HMPE rope is used in lifting operations as an alternative to wire, as well as for towing and pulling. It can also be used on winches. Nominal diameter is according to ISO 1968. MBL is tested according to ISO 2307 and verified by DNV-GL. Spliced rope will have a 10% lower MBL.
