The Sundström SR 597 A1BE2K1 gas filter is specifically designed for use with the Sundström SR 500 and SR 500 EX powered air respirators. The filter protects against multiple hazardous gases and vapours encountered in industrial, manufacturing, maintenance, and chemical handling applications.
The A1BE2K1 classification provides protection against:
- Organic gases and vapours with boiling points above +65°C, such as solvents (A1).
- Inorganic gases and vapours including chlorine, hydrogen sulphide, and hydrogen cyanide (B2).
- Acid gases and vapours such as sulphur dioxide and hydrogen fluoride (E2).
- Ammonia and certain amines, including ethylenediamine (K1).
The filter is designed with optimized adsorption properties for efficient gas filtration and extended service life. When particle protection is required, the filter should be combined with an approved particulate filter. The SR 500 and SR 500 EX powered units must always be operated with two filters installed.
